Look back at "The House Video"

So this morning I was struggling to find a video or something to talk about that I felt inspired me, or might inspire you guys out there to go skateboarding and have some fun and after a solid thirty minutes of scouring the internet to nothing but disappointment from the over saturated skateboard media of 2020 I was left with no choice but to say "sod it! I'm just going to talk about a video I love!" and that video in question people of the world is "The House Video" Vice called it "the best video of the year so far" in 2013 see article here and I think its one of the rawest and most true skate videos that ever graced my eyes and forever changed how I look and feel about skateboarding.

DISCLAIMER for our younger viewers: This Video features strong language, drug use, and other criminal acts that we do not condone here at Legacy Skate Store, this is only for viewing pleasures and for the purpose of skateboarding entertainment, none of the acts in this video should attempted by members of the public.

The video opens up to the mad man that is "Chef" getting his nose broke for a 30-pack challenge from P-Stone, which was to beat up a rollerblader. Doesn't end so well for Chef but makes for good watching and sets the tone for a real skateboard video. Everything that follows is nothing short of the tone set in the first minute of the video, D.I.Y. Parks, fire, explosions, tipping cars drunk, parties, street skating, screaming and most importantly good times with the homies.

The soundtrack boasts everything from Kreayshawns "Gucci Gucci", to Fraternity Of Man "Don't bogart that joint my friend", personal favourite "Rock and Roll fever" David Allan Coe, literal circus music and even a section to the "full retard speech" from Tropic Thunder (to give those context who need it please see here) and it all fits! There's never a dull moment in my eyes and the music perfectly fits to that, like skateboarding should be its just fun!

Personal picks, everything at that D.I.Y. bowl under that bridge starting around 5 minutes, including making that dude in the Wu-Tang shirt drop in, Chef's roll in on the roof to The House ramp, and all of his knock outs, DJ Gaudin with the "Full Retard" speech section, David Allan Coe kicks in around 20:25 and Id stick around for the duration and finally smashing every piece of glass in the House so the dude who took his shoes off can't leave. All Chaos and all amazing to witness. Get this video watched!!
